Manual Lesson Completion (For Coaches)
under review
Evil
Instead of lessons being marked as complete when the scheduled lesson passes, it would be nice to coaches to have the ability to mark lessons as completed ourselves. This is for when someone schedules over Discord instead of through the website allowing us to mark it as complete, even when the website doesn't pick it up as having happened.

hard +1, why not just have them send a request to student to mark as complete.

Please have this feature I wanted this since day 1 and not sure why this is taking so long.

Please do this, I coach Rocket League and do replay analysis and its so awkward atm. Rocket league uses .replay files which cant be sent on the site so me and a customer did the sending of replays on discord instead. I now have the analysis of 4 replays rdy but the site has no idea hes sent anything. As a result he is now recording all 4 replays with OBS just so the site knows he has sent them. There should be a way for coaches to say its completed with proof such as a link or duplicate of the document etc. Thanks, rly hope this happens soon!

At the moment, every scheduled live lesson should automatically be mark as complete, so the only scenario where manual intervention for a coach to mark it 'Complete' would be before the scheduled time is hit - is that correct Evil?
The risk here is that a coach would simply mark a session as 'complete' even if it wasn't (intentionally or by mistake). However, we are reviewing the idea of the student being able to mark is as complete, but feel free to add more context to the idea!

AlexKF: Hi AlexKF, I too strongly believe this should be a feature because although the booking system on Metafy is great, I prefer discussing it with my student on Discord and this often leads to the student just booking bulk sessions on the site at random times even though those are not actually the times we had or are going to have the sessions. In situations where the student accidentally books the wrong time or a different time is better suited, instead of rescheduling a possible inconvenience for the student, we continue with the lesson as normal and just mark the lesson as completed on our side once the session is done.
Although you stated the risk here is the coach marking the lessons as completed that mistake isn't an issue as long as the lessons get completed and the student and coach have mutual understanding, other coaching websites such as BetterGamer allow their coaches this feature and I have never seen or heard of it being abused.

PhisherFTW: Yup that's fair. I agree, if we have both student and expert 'mark this as complete' then there is no reason reason not to do this. Excuse the double negative - it's solid idea and allows experts to be more dynamic with how/when they do sessions. Thank you - we'll see how things can forward to with this.

AlexKF: I want to second this. Giving students the option of marking a session as complete would be great. Right now I have to ask them to schedule the session on a random date and time, which blocks slots in my schedule.
